Montevideo, Where old trucks come to die

It seems that Uruguay has imported over the years a wide array of discontinued vehicles, like this Thames trader truck, made by the British division of Ford. And probably kept them running with "make do" parts, since they were probably one of a kind.

You´ll see a good amount of 50s eras trucks still running in Montevideo. One reason being the high value of overtaxed new units, and the capacity of the locals to fix any type of piece or part that normally would be replaced.
