At the Austrian-Lithuanian festival in Buenos Aires

This past weekend in Buenos Aires it was Austria and Lithuania's turn to put on the show at Avenida de Mayo..

The "Fiesta de Austria y Lithuania" was held with lots of colourful folkloric dances and beautiful traditional dresses.

it goes without saying that there were lots of eatable goodies with plenty of wurst and beer.

La feria de Mataderos

The Sunday Fiesta, or feria that is held in the Buenos aires neighbourhood of Mataderos, right at the edge of the city would normally be considered a tourist trap attraction and as thaw would not be worthy of my attention.

But having gone there once to check it out, I can say that in spite of having the usual kiosks that you can find in any "Feria" in Argentina, this event still has a lot of the authentic Gaucho attractions you can find in the pampas.

without leaving the big city, you´ll get a taste of the typical Argentine folklore. the Feria works on Saturdays and Sundays and has its own web site.

Ten top pizza joints in Buenos Aires - Runner ups - Cosi mi piace - Palermo

In the runner up category for the best pizza joints in BA. today I bring you "Cosi mi piace" located at El Salvador 4618 in Palermo.

This joint specialises in Roman style pizza and is in the runner ups, not because it is´nt good, but because it is not Argie style pizza. The pizza here is quite good, but the prices sre´nt that cheap.

Its ambiance is a hybrid trendy with roman pizzeria, that´s why you will find better wines and beers that your average Bunos Aires pizzeria, that serves mostly moscato wine.

At the "Fiesta Peruna" downtown Buenos Aires

Last Sunday I attended the "Fiesta Peruana in Buenos Aires", smack downtown at the Diagonal Norte.

This yearly event will surely bring you back to past trips to Machu Pichu or other Peruvian cities. Hosted by the huge Peruvian community in Buenos Aires, it shows many aspects of the Andean culture.

It was majorly packed with people, there were dozens of kiosks offering foods from different Peruvian regions or provinces, as well as trinkets of all sorts.
