Long weekend in Mendoza - Playa de Lujan de Cuyo

Just an Hour away from the city of Mendoza you´ll find the "Playa de Lujan de cuyo" a cute riverside Beach with a beautiful view.

Right across the "Entre Dos" alfajores and the Junk yard. This rocky beach might be packed on a hot summer weekend or empty on a weekday.

It has a sand beech with parasols and a campground or some big rocks from where to dive in the chilly mountain river water.

The 2019 Buenos Aires Jazz Festival

Just in from a trip to Chile, I managed to make it to the Buenos aires international Jazz Festival, that had been rolling the whole weekend.
The local and international artists are always top notch and most performances are free or very low priced.
I saw The talented Canadian Sax and Flute player Jane Bunnet with Hilario Durán at the piano at the Usina del Arte in La Boca.

The 2019 Open House Buenos Aires

Another dition of the Buenos Aires has come to an end. With over 150 buildings available to visit it is one of the finest architecture festivals worldwide.

As I did last year I volunteered to help usher people around when they visit. I was stationed at the Navy Club (Centro Naval), seen above, with it superb french style.

In all it was a great weekend in Buenos Aires with fine weather, as always there were line ups to get in cuz some buildings are only open to the public on this occasion.

La noche de los museos 2019 in Buenos Aires

Last Saturday was this year´s edition of the Museum night in Buenos Aires, a yearly event that gathers huge crowds and forms big lineups to visit the many museums featured in the event.

this year we strolled through the streets of the Belgrano neighbourhood away from the very crowded downtown museums, and we were delighted by the choir that performed at the Holy Saviour Anglican church which far from being a museum always has a good show on.
