Tigre, Puerto la pista

Come this hot sunny days in Buenos Aires, you might want to consider hitting some water to cool down. Short of going to the ocean 4hrs away and crowding with most of the country, there is a simpler and cheaoer option.

Puerto la Pista is located in the Parana River Delta, which you can acces from the city of Tigre in the province of Buenos Aires, you can take a boat from Tigre and be there in 40 minutes, and enjoy some river bathing to chill down.

Exploring Patagonia - Ruta 40 - La ruta de los 7 Lagos

The 7 lake road or Ruta de los siete lagos goes from San Martin de los Andes to Villa la Angostura  (Neuquen province ) and is something really worth visiting it spans 70 clics and it circles seven of the most beautiful lakes in the province.

I had the oportunity to spend the last night at a camp site at the shores of one of the lakes and it brought me many flashbacks from my camping days in the graet lakes in Canada and the USA.

Exploring Patagonia - Ruta 40 - Osorno

Last stop in Chile was Osorno in Chile´s Tenth Region

Besides the great scenery and the Osorno Volcano I had the pleasure of enjoying some delicious home made Kuchen pie and fresh rasberry juice.

La noche de los Templos 2007 in Buenos Aires

Same as last year I attended the "Noche de los Templos"hosted by the city of Buenos Aires.

This time I visited the holy Saviour Anglican church located in Avenida Cramer 1700 in the Belgrano neighbourhood.

ouiBuilt in 1886 by the English inmigrants that lived in the area, it is a fine example of neogothic religious architecture.

I also had the pleasure of listening to some fine english Cristmas Carols, sang by the local church choir.
