Exploring the Buenos Aires Province - Domselaar

 

Domselaar was founded in the municipality of San Vicente around the train station that opened in 1865 to facilitate the transport of cattle to the slaughterhouses in Buenos Aires.

Just past a hundred years in 1990 the railroad was shut down and the town begun its decay becoming practically a ghost town.

I´m sure people still live there, even though I haven't seen anyone around.

Exploring the Buenos Aires Province - Estancia La San Antonio - Paragliding

If you´re interested in Paragliding, you can find the San Vicente Parapente Club, right inside the premises of the San Antonio estancia.

There you can hire classes for less tha 50 bucks and paraglide with an instructor over the green fields of the Estancia.

 

Exploring the Buenos Aires Province - Estancia La San Antonio

In Guernica there´s an Estancia called "La San Antonio" where you can spend a "Dia de campo" and enjoy horse back riding and see their ostriches, ducks and peacocks.

At this place you can also find a paragliding club which offers flights and lessons.

All over the Buenos Aires province you will find small bodies of water which people here call Lagunas, not exactly a lagoon in English, but still a gathering place where ever they are.

Here people como mostly on weekends as family groups to have barbeques and drink mate watching the sunset-

Not far from Las Heras in its namesake Partido lies the city of Navarro where you can find this small Aero club.

Here you can fly your own home made plane or take classes or just fly around for a small fee.

It can be exiting since it has no landing strip, just grass.

General Las Heras is a city located in its namesake county or Partido 67 clicks away from the city of Buenos Aires.

Las Heras has a charm in its own right with its classic arquitecture and quiet streets.

You can still arrive there by train and spend the day, if you are willing to suffer the long trip.

Exploring the Buenos Aires Province - Puesto Viejo - Cañuelas

Close to the city of Cañuelas on Ruta Provincial 6, Km. 83, B1814 Cañuelas, you can find another exclusive Estancia with Polo fields and cabins on which you can spend a weekend in luxury.

It even has its own maze, and an area for glamping

You can eithr spend the weeend or go for the day and enjoy all its amenities
