Ten top pizza joints in Buenos Aires - Runner ups - 1893 Villa crespo
Something different among the wide variety of pizzerias in Buenos Aires, the 1893 pizza, located at Scalabrini Ortiz and Loyola in the Villa Crespo neighbourhood, is that this one specialises in "pizza a la parrilla" or barbecued pizza.
You´ll find most of the comon pizza toppings in their oven or "parilla" versions.
The service is good on weekdays and not so crowded on the weekends, and the prices are quite cheap, which is an advantage of "Barrio dinning" as opposed to the "Palermo" tourist trap restos.

At The Feria de las Naciones in Palermo
This past Saturday the 24th of Sept. I had the chance to visit "La feria de las naciones" which is part of the several ethnic festivals held by the city of Buenos Aires.
But on this occasion it encompassed all the continents divided into America,Europe and Asia, with a kiosk representing each of the countries.
It was a great photo op and also an excellent occasion to grab a bite of some typical dish that you normally ca´nt find at your local restaurant.
In all it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

WWG - Palacio Barolo guided tour
For a city with roughly a hundred years of history, considering that before the twentieth century, Buenos Aires was an obscure port city, Buenos Aires has quite a few interesting historical buildings
One of them being the "Palacio Barolo" which I previously mentioned in this Blog.
Located at Avenida de Mayo 1370, it is one of the oldest tall buildings in the city.
Without getting into its history, I will mention that there is a guided tour which takes you from bottom to top and tells you its fascinating story.
I do recommend bringing camera and tripod to take really great pics of the plaza congreso, specially at sundown.

At the Korean festival in Buenos Aires
Yesterday was korea´s turn at having their fiesta. The event was held at the intersections of Nazca and Avellaneda Avenues, wich is the korean stronghold in Buenos Aires.
Besides the customary food kiosks with yummy Korean Junk food and traditional food, there were various Korean electronics manufacturers peddeling their wares.
They also feautured argentine k-pop bands which imitate the uber materialistic korean Pop culture.
In all it was very well attended and organized with oriental precision.

Best Parrillas in Buenos Aires - Totin -
Now, if you want to thread off the beaten path of downtown or Puerto Madero and have a popular parrilla experience you should haead over to Villa Ortuzar and look around Alvarez thomas Avenue. There you will find a dozen very good parrillas with good meat and prices.
Today we feature "Totin" located in a pictouresque island at the intersection of Alvarez Thomas and Avenida de los Incas.
Totin is a family run bussiness frequented by middle class families in Villa ortuzar, the meat is good and the prices are quite cheap compared to the more fancier places. Their wine selection is very good and definetively a lot cheaper than the other parrillas.

Ten top beer joints in Buenos Aires - Cerveceria Federal - Las Cañitas
This cosy pub located at "Las cañitas" in Palermo has its own attractions compared with the other craft beer joints that keep popping up in Buenos Aires.
The place is quite ample with tall ceillings and has the beer making equipment at sight, giving the place a touch of authenticity.
I tasted several beers and was parcial to the honey stout golden Ale that they brew.

At The Motiquedada- Tango in Puerto Madero
Last Sunday Sept. 4th was held the Motiquedada Tango edition at a park in Puert Madero, the event is sponsored by the "Motivarte" photography school in Buenos Aires.
I really could´nt find out what "Motiquedada" means, but in any case, its a free themed photo shoot held by one of the more trendier photo schools in B.A.
The dancers that were there also volunteered for the event, which in general was well organised and well attended in spite of the day being cold and rainy.

The Teatro Cervantes in Buenos Aires
The "Teatro Cervantes" in Buenos Aires, officially known as "Teatro Nacional Cervantes" is located at the intersections of Libertad and Av. Cordoba, very close to its larger counterpart, the "Teatro Colon".
Built back in 1921,It suffered a fire in 1961 and was rebuilt. Its interior is classic and the tickets are very cheap. They normally show local content and tends to be quite full, since there can be simultaneous performances in its three separate rooms.
