Chacarita and its Cemetery

The cemetery owes its existence to a yellow fever epidemic in 1871, when existing cemeteries were strained beyond capacity (La Recoleta cemetery (see other post) refused to allow the burial of victims of the epidemic). Students of the of San Carlos Colege appropriated 5 hectares (12 acres) in the adjoining Colegiales neighbourhood to bury the thousands that had deceased.
Its Buenos Aire´s biggest and has many famous buried there, such as Carlos Gardel, the Tango Icon.

La Recoleta Cemetery

Why am I posting more stuff about Buenos Aires, than other Places I´ve been to? I guess cuz there are more things to see per square mile in B.A. than there are in other places, and transport is cheap, and its flat, so you can bike, and many places are free admission, opposed to places like London (U.K) where you will pay a minimum of L15 to get into a nice place, plus another L10 for the train. (I like London the same).
Today I bring you the Recoleta Cemetery where all Argentina's Who is Who are buried. People that have cities and roads named after them.

Sunday drive in kettleby, Ontario

This hidden little town in King township is difficult to find, and even more so its small cemetery.
