When summer hits Buenos Aires it can get really hot and muggy, not to worry, do as this couple and go chill beside the River and enjoy a fresh breeze along with beautiful sunsets.

the Junk Food guide to Buenos Aires - El Choripan
Today I would like to talk about junk food. Every country has its own version of popular-junk food, be it greasy burgers or pies or choripapas, or choripan.
The choripan is one of the argentine fast food sandwiches that you can buy anywhere, mind you the sausages they use are a variety made only here in Argentina, to such an extent that when I lived in Mexico you had to ask for the specific chorizo argentino to differentiate it from the Spanish or Mexican type.

Big deal "El choripan" is just a grilled greasy sausage on a bun, maybe, but it sure is tasty. Now one of the most "prestigious" places to eat one is the Costanera, and among the many carts that offer their goods I prefer the one that is called "El chavo", for three reasons one being the quality of their meat which makes people line up to buy even when other carts are empty, Two, for its view of the River Plate and the Fisherman's club and third for its name evocative of childhood times when I watched "El chavo del ocho" one of Mexico's greatest comedians.

In Passing Snapshot - Sunset at la Costanera
One of the things I miss about Montevideo are the sunsets over the River Plate, since Buenos Aires is on the southern side of the River you can only catch the sunrise, which can also be nice. But in exploring the area I managed to get a nice pano of the sunset with the city´s skyline and the "Club de Pescadores" at the Costanera riverside walk.

El Club de pescadores de Buenos Aires
The Fisherman's club located at the Costanera Norte in Buenos Aires is one of those emblematic buildings of the city that you probably saw going or coming from the Aeroparque city airport.
Built in 1903 on a pier over the River Plate it resembles a Belgian Castle, its an ideal spot to frame a sunrise on the river.
I´ve been here several times to shoot sunrises, but on a Sunday afternoon I stoped by to visit the interior, that boast an aquarium with the native species of the river plate, and also a restaurant that overlooks the river.
the premises are restricted to non members but if you ask politely they will let you look around, and you can lunch or dine at the resto without membership.
