The distinguished Gentlema´s ride ord DGR is an international charity event thar gathers dapper riders with vintage motorbikes, this year it was held on September 30th 2018.

With close to 1million men losing their lives annually from suiside and prostate cancer, the Bueno´s Aires chapter has beeen doing it here for five years and it gathers the cities vintage bike riders.
There are rules for assisting regarding the type of bike and garments to wear.

I have to say that the organisation was excellent and there was a great selection of vintage bikes in perfect state, like a museum on wheels.

Even though the weather was not the best the ride went on riding through the most emblematic areas of Buenos Aires.

The trip to Carmelo, Uruguay - The Road to Nueva Palmira

We biked from carmelo to Nueva palmira, which is the nearest city heading North-East on Road 21. The ride is quite nice with a one lane two way road, in decent condition.

There are some uphills that are a bit steep, but can be handled if you´re in good shape, there are several place of interest along the way like beaches and wineries to stop and relax.

The Trip to Chile - Moving around Santiago by bike

Santiago actually is a pretty bike friendly city, besides being a good place to buy one. Since I did so myself I biked around quite a bit, specially in the downtown area.

There are plenty of bike paths which take up a whole lane, and cross parks as well. But beware of asking directions, cuz most people in Santiago do´nt know or do´nt care, bring a map or check google.

They got me this time, I left my NORCO bike chained at a most busy intersection (Av. La Plata y Venezuela) and it was gone without a trace. I survived Toronto,Mexico and London, but they got me in Buenos Aires. Anyway this post is intended for you expats living in Buenos Aires. Since this is a very unusual make in Argentina, if you happen to see a NORCO Scrambler, drop me a line.
