Continuing with my series on meat eating, I would like to talk about La Costanera, wich is Buenos Aire´s river side walk. I was told that originally the best Parrillas were located there, and in the nineties they either moved or opened a branch in Puerto Madero.
Nevertheless you can still find some diehards that remained there, like the parrilla "Los Platitos", located at Av. Rafael Obligado, or Costanera, right in front of Parque de la Memoria, it´s considered as one of the historical parrillas of Costanera Norte.
Now to be frank I have heard complaints about the meat and service being bad and expensive, but in my case I went there with friends and we bought their famous Lomito sandwich which lived up to my expectations for a very reasonable price.
you can either take out and eat it watching the River Plate, or eat it at the counter, provided you find a spot. but I have to say that the quality of the meat was excellent, something that is not usual in sandwiches served here.
