The Yaciretá-Apipé Hydroelectric Dam is situated roughly 100 clicks away from Posadas close to the city of Ituzaingó, Corrientes Province,On the Parana river, being the main Argentine-Paraguayan Hydro producer responsible for a good chunk of the energy used in the Northern provinces.
You can go there from Posadas or Corrientes and do the free tour that takes you on the premises.
To do that I took a bus from the Posadas Bus Terminal to Ituzaingó then 2 clicks to the departure point outside the city, you can go walking or by cab.
It is worthwhile visiting and it is done in two hours, they have several tour hours listed in their website where you can also sing up for the tour.
